The International School of Choueifat launched an extensive recycling campaign

Inside every class, a simple cardboard box (made entirely from recycled materials) is put next to the regular rubbish bin. All paper based materials are put in these cardboard boxes. At the end of each day all the papers are collected and sent off to the recycling plant.
In one year, a grand total of 16,280 Kilograms of paper material was recycled by the International School of Choueifat, a truly whopping number that saved 276.8 trees, the equivalent of a medium-sized park.
As a reward for the grand contribution, the school won a large number of recycled items. The SLO team are publishing their first newspaper wholly from 100% recycled paper materials.
